Track Name: Untitled Country Tune
She’ll sing a ballad on most nights
On good nights she’ll sing two
Catch her eye cross smoky light
And you’ll think she sings for you
She sings of when good lovers leave
And when she sings the bar folk grieve
And wipe their tears upon their sleeves
And call for rounds of whiskey

She navigates through offered drinks
Once she’s sung her final song
“Ain’t one worth nothin’” so she thinks
But orders them “pour on.”

Her current flame almost burnt out
But right there at her shoulder
Above the rest he’s most devout
To gain a chance to hold her

CHORUS
So she drinks with them once more
To settle debts and even score
To count the time that’s come before
But still, she cannot shake them

‘Nough liquor still won’t make the rent
Or pay the bank for what they lent
But still her time will be well spent
To find someone to take from

Her thoughts are haunted by his look
As if he truly knows her
She had nothing so she took
But he acts as if he owes her

CHORUS

Our humble glances, timid steps
Her hope such things can make her whole
Our endless thanks flow natural now
Her one regret is all she stole

CHORUS
